Atta, Dal and now Desi Ghee – the politicians are offering various food items in their election manifestos to those living below the poverty line, but that is not what the Punjabi people need. The Punjabi people require opportunities for employment so they can go and earn an honest living to purchase these vital food items themselves, as normal working families do. They do not wish to be put in a position whereby they have to proceed as if beggars, waiting in long queues to make claims for these food items.
